Temporary Closure Extended on Hallowat Cr. North Road to Moose Lake

By | July 15, 2016

Hallowat Cr. North Road, Forest Road #315, located on the Glacier View Ranger District, will remain closed to public use and is anticipated to remain closed until July 26, 2016.  The closure is at Hallowat pit (Junction with Rds. 316 and 315).  This road provides access to Moose Lake and typically opens to the public on July 1.

Spring weather conditions with heavy rainfall and snowmelt have caused two large road slumps. Crews are currently working to repair road slumps and remove mud and debris from the road, ensuring that drainage works properly, and allowing for drying of saturated soils.

Anyone with information about road damage or other situations are asked to contact a local forest service office.
