Rain, Snow Fall on Many Montana Wildfires

The Flathead Beacon reports that rain and snow fell on many wildfires in Montana over the weekend, helping firefighters make significant progress in containment in some areas. Fires that had burned some 34 square miles in and around Glacier National Park and threatened the community of Essex the week before received more than an inch of rain and some snow above 6,000 feet.
