North Fork capers chronicled in cartoon book

By | December 13, 2013

Larry’s column in the Hungry Horse News says… The road is good, with white pavement (packed snow) above Polebridge and mostly bare to the south. It is still a good idea to carry proper winter gear because there’s little traffic and you could be in for a walk of several miles if your vehicle stalls or you get stuck. As for me, I’m staying in the house with my North Fork archives. Most recent addition is a new colorized cartoon booklet by Cecily McNeil. Originally, the cartoons were black and white and were drawn by Cecily in the 1980s and depicted North Fork life from 1956 to 1983, when we old-timers were young.  Read his full column here.
