Fire Season

The Flathead National Forest Facebook page says… August is the heart of the fire season in Northwest Montana. Forecasts point toward a normal peak to the fire season in late August and early September. This means that an active fire season in August is expected in our area. Here are some reminders for fire season. ‪#‎OneLessSpark‬
– Make sure your campfire is DEAD OUT. If it’s too HOT to touch, it’s too HOT to leave.

– Just one spark from equipment can ignite dry grass. Properly maintain spark arrestors.
