Northern Pikeminnow

A Northern Pikeminnow. Photo from the internet.

Kind of cute… The Flathead National Forest Facebook page says … Hi there! I am a Northern Pikeminnow (formerly called Squawfish). At first glance, I look like a trout but notice my large mouth and lack of adipose fin. I am actually a very big minnow and I am not a fussy eater at all. I am a native around here and welcome to my home. (photo from internet)(bg)

We googled around to see which of our nearby lakes had Pikeminnow and found mentioned of them in the Swan and Glacier areas, but no specific lakes. If anyone knows, please post a comment.
