NFLA fly fishing class was well attended!

By | July 20, 2013

DSCN3896-3On Friday, 12 people attended a fly fishing class in Polebridge led by Irv Heitz, professional fly fishing river guide and North Fork landowner.  Irv gave a 3-hour lively and informative class on fly fishing basics, including equipment, technique, fish biology, and river reading.  The class was followed by a practice casting session on the lawn behind the Polebridge Mercantile.  After practicing, class members drove into the Park to practice casting into the North Fork of the Flathead River.  Several of the beginners caught small fish that were quickly released.
