Glacier Rim Fire Area Closed

KALISPELL, MONTANA – The Flathead National Forest has closed the area associated with the Glacier Rim Fire on the Hungry Horse-Glacier View Ranger District. It is closed to all public travel for safety and forest resource protection.

It is prohibited to be within the boundaries of the Glacier Rim Fire activity area, Township 32 North, Range 20 West, Sections 27 and 34. The Closure areas are south of Canyon Creek, West of the North Fork Road, east of National Forest System Road 316D affected by the fire activity, and north of the private property parcel. NFS Roads 10904 and 10904A leading to the gravel pit are closed to public use. National Forest System Road 316D will remain gated, but will available to the public for non-motorize use, but the area east of the road bordering the fire area, between road 316D and the North Fork Road, affected by fire suppression activities, is closed to all public access and will remain in effect until further notice.
