Avalanche Awareness Class – Jan. 26 – Reminder

As winter is well under way here in the Flathead Valley more and more people are fine tuning those skis, sleds and snowshoes to get out and enjoy the snow. To help you safely enjoy the snow Friends of the Flathead Avalanche Center will do an entertaining and engaging avalanche awareness presentation. From experienced back country skiers to front country snowman making champions this is a wonderful opportunity to refresh your avalanche knowledge or get an introduction to avalanche safety. The class includes general information about avalanche hazard, how to avoid it, and proper equipment for traveling in avalanche terrain.

When: Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 4 PM – 5 PM MST
Where: Lone Pine State Park

Registration can be done by calling 406-755-2706 ext. 0 or 2. Presentation is FREE but space is limited.
