2018 Winter Speaker Series

By | February 14, 2018

A tradition in the Flathead Valley for decades is the annual Winter Speaker Series, sponsored by Glacier National Park Volunteers Associates (GNPVA).

On the fourth Monday of January, February and March of each year a guest speaker presents subjects of interest related to GNP. The talks, which are free and open to the general public, are presented at the Museum at Central School in Kalispell at 7 pm.

In February (26), Diane Boyd will present “The Journey Home for Montana’s Wolves”. Diane began working with wolves in Montana in 1979, and has followed wolf recovery ever since. She will talk about wolf recovery in Montana and the Rocky Mountains of MT, ID, and WY. Diane is currently the Wolf & Carnivore Specialist for MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks in Kalispell.

In March (26), John Waller, a wildlife biologist at GNP, will discuss the cats of Glacier National Park.
